Los Kelleys!
Congratulations! I couldn’t stop reading your essays. Actually I was overwhelmed by your insights and depth of spirituality. Any mother-to-be should share your emotions and introspection. It was great to relive those experiences. What a turn around! And what an incredible experience to view your very first child, and the second, and the third, etc. That is truly when we feel the presence of God most profoundly__ His plans, His designs, His trust in us to carry such an awesome responsibility.
Your mother and father must be ecstatic! Betsy sent me the good news and I was carried away. I also read Nicole’s articles. You and your families are definitely a blessing. I suppose Klydell and Dennis have been/are doing mission work, but I didn’t learn where. Wow! “Lora Elaine is pregnant!”_ Then a fresh connection to the family and beautiful photographs of you, and you and Eric!
Congratulations to Eric as well! Keep me posted if it isn’t too much trouble.
I saw your mother and Elise last, when your mother came to Lake Charles to meet with dignateries from various companies on the golf course, and as she said, eat good food at designated areas. Elise and I visited until your mother completed her responsibilites.
Missing your wedding and not even getting a gift to you has haunted me. Not being familiar with event planners, I first threw the invitation envelope, not recognizing the importance of the contents I put aside for later viewing. After that who knows?
Tomorrow we will begin to prepare food for Homecoming for the 60th Anniversary of our church. Woodlawn Baptist has been my home church since it was a mission. I was then five or six. Our first pastor, Leon Hyatt, will deliver the message. Billy Wilson, who has rich and beautiful voice will bring the special music.
God bless you, all three, as you prepare for the time of your life.
With love,
Aunt Lula
